Nancie Zane, PhD, is a social psychologist and a partner with Praxis Consulting Group (see www.praxiscg.com [1]for more information about Praxis and our partners). For over twenty years, Nancie has worked with not-for-profits and public sector organizations to build diverse leadership and staff teams, develop effective communication strategies, and increase board capacity—all in the service of helping organizations achieve their goals. She also works to help organizations re-align their organizational mission, culture, and structure through innovative visioning and strategic planning processes. In addition, Nancie heads the coaching practice within Praxis that serves mid-level managers and senior leaders. She has coached in the Wharton Advanced Management and the Executive Education Programs at Wharton and is certified in the Clarke Wilson and the EQI coaching tools.
Nancie is on the faculty of the Organization Dynamics Program at the University of Pennsylvania where she teaches courses in Organizational Diagnosis and Group and Team Dynamics. In addition, Nancie has designed and delivered courses on non-profit leadership, women and leadership, and intergroup relations and was a visiting lecturer at the University of Haifa and the Golda Meir Center in Haifa, Israel. Her publications focus primarily on the creation of corporate commitment to organizational diversity as well as re-thinking student discipline in the context of school restructuring.
Nancie received a B.S. from Cornell University in criminal justice and community pyschology and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in social psychology.
