Extreme Makeover - NonProfit Edition: The Phoenix Project

As many of you know, Alliance members Jan Glick and Maria Gutierrez are conducting research on the art of transforming troubled nonprofits for their new book to be published by Fieldstone Alliance later this year. Many of you who participated in the authors' workshop Extreme Makeover: NonProfit Edition at last year's Alliance conference will remember the lively discussion and exchange of ideas. The authors received invaluable early feedback and research ideas from their colleagues during that session. Since then, many of you have generously shared your professional experiences, specific case studies, and many learnings in turning around organizations in crisis.

The Alliance is delighted that the lifetime work of our members will be so prominently showcased, and believes that this publication will make an important contribution to the literature and to our field, focusing specifically on what it takes to effectively intervene with organizations in severe duress.
