Purpose

The Executive Transitions Management (ETM) Affinity Group brings together capacity builders who focus on strengthening nonprofits during times of executive transition.  Search consultants, interim executive directors, researchers, MSO leaders, and other organizational development professionals share information about the wide range of issues facing this relatively new field.  

Report

This year, the ETM Affinity Group held a series of meetings to discuss executive transition issues - particularly the economy's effect on nonprofit leaders in transitional organizations.   There were three types of meetings:   national calls with highly-regarded experts to discuss long-range issues; regional calls to follow-up on the national discussions; and technical assistance calls to provide assistance to members needing additional support.  The results of these calls will be white paper that will inform the sector on the issues and challenges discussed in these dialogues.  In addition, an online Google group was created where individuals can connect online to exchange ideas and information.
