Jovial at times; but, with confidence, Alliance Executive Director and CEO Tangie Newborn gave her inaugural address at the 2006 Annual Conference Opening Session.  "We, as capacity builders, have a major responsibility to the communities we serve.  We have the responsibility to ensure excellence in board governance and ethics."  Newborn also paid honor to founding executive director Roni Posner, who retired from the Alliance in June.
