Are you struggling to capture a fair share of your membership market and/or moving past your current concentration? Panelists will share creative campaigns they employed to meet their goals. This will also be an interactive session where participants will be invited to discuss what has and has not worked in their state.

Kathy Crabb, Director of Marketing and Communications, California Association of Nonprofits (CAN®) has more than ten years of experience in writing, editing, and project management in the nonprofit sector and publishing industry, with a focus on nonprofits serving low-income and other vulnerable communities in southern California. She came to CAN as a consultant in 1999 and moved into her full-time position with the organization in 2003. She has been instrumental in creating consistent branding for the organization, increasing the frequency and quality of CAN publications, boosting attendance at CAN events, and creating new opportunities for funding and membership. Her volunteer work has focused on international health, crisis counseling, and psychotherapy. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Politics from Mt. Holyoke College, a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and is a certified massage therapist.
Jennifer Ross, Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO)
Ms. Ross earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and Sociology with a Minor in Fine Arts History from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania. Part of her studies included an academic year at the Dickinson Center at Toulouse, France (Academic Year 1991-1992) where she also had an internship teaching English to students at a French High School. Ms. Ross was PANO's Member Services Director and Administrative Assistant from January 1997-December 1999. She brought administrative and office managerial experience from two years at the business and political consulting firm Singel Associates and her year and a half on the Friends of Mark Singel Gubernatorial Fundraising Team. Her experience working with databases and dealing with a multitude of requests from clients, associates and funders at her past employment enables her to effectively aid PANO members. Ms. Ross has extensive knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, desktop publishing and web design. She employs these skills to design and coordinate PANO's quarterly newsletter Keynotes, upgrade PANO's web site, to prepare PANO's grant proposals and reports, and help maintain PANO's database. Ms. Ross is a member of Dickinson College's Alumni Council and its Communication Committee, Secretary and Youth Advisory of her congregations, and member of the Hollywood on High Committee.
