I am not sure I'm ready to submit a proposal. Is there anyway to view the questions before I start the process?

Certainly. You can review the questions once the Call for Proposals is open. However, please remember only proposals submitted through the online system will be considered for inclusion in the conference program.

I've submitted my proposal(s). Now what is the process?

When the Call for Proposals closes on November 1, 2008, all proposals will be reviewed by the Alliance’s Program Committee. The Program Committee, made up of several Alliance members, will look at each proposal’s content, how it fits with overall conference theme, presenter's membership status with the Alliance. After their review is completed in early 2009, all prospective presenters will be contacted as to the status of their proposal(s).

What if I need to update my proposal?

If you need to update your proposal and it is before the November 1, 2008 deadline, simply return to the Alliance’s Call for Proposals and check yes to Question 1 “Is this an update to a previously submitted proposal” and fill in what is being updated and the name of the session. If it is after the deadline or you are unable to recall the name of the previously submitted session, please email Katelyn Keegan, Development Coordinator, at Katelyn@allianceonline.org.

Can you provide me examples of accepted conference sessions from previous years?

I haven't heard back about my proposal yet. When will I hear?

We are currently on track to notify all presenters of their proposal(s) status by early March 2009.

When will registration open for the 2009 Conference?

Registration for the Alliance for Nonprofit Management 2009 Annual Conference in Palm Springs, California, will open on or about December 15, 2008.

Will I receive a special discount as a presenter?

In previous years, registration discounts have been given to those individuals who are presenting at the Conference. However, at this time, we do not have specific details about whether a special offer will be able available to presenters this year.

Does the Alliance assume any costs for presenters, such as travel, hotel, registration, or offer honorariums?

As a nonprofit organization, the Alliance does not assume any costs on behalf of presenters.
