Responding to the urgent need to develop new, alternative governance models, over the past two years, the Alliance Governance Affinity Group has been engaged in “out-of-the-box thinking” and has developed a new governance framework, entitled, “Community-Engagement Governance”.  Through a series of facilitated, participatory exercises, participants will focus on co-designing the specific steps for helping nonprofits transform and adapt this framework to their organizations.

Conditions for Success: Deepening What We Know An Open Space Dialogue on Executive Transition Management and Succession Planning

Facilitators: Tim Wolfred, CompassPoint; Tom Adam, TransitionGuides

Executive Transitions Management (ETM) is a set of consulting tools and protocols that were developed with funding from the Annie E. Casey Foundation by a collaborative of nonprofit consultants.  ETM is designed to help nonprofit agencies to take advantage of the capacity building opportunities that arise when their CEO’s are departing.  This "town hall" session is designed to give ETM consultants a chance to share lessons learned in their transition work as well as to suggest refinements to the ETM model based on outcomes with their ETM clients.
