Internationally known fundraising trainer and consultant, Kim is a member of the Building Movement Project and leads workshops on tax policy and the importance of the “commons” for them as well as being a regular contributor to their website. She is the Chardon Press Series Editor at Jossey-Bass Publishers, which publishes and distributes materials that help to build a stronger nonprofit sector, and the founder of the bimonthly Grassroots Fundraising Journal. She is also the author of Fundraising for Social Change (now in its fifth edition, 2006), Fundraising for the Long Haul (2000), and Ask and You Shall Receive: A Fundraising Training Program for Religious Organizations or Projects, Raise More Money (2001) which she edited with her partner, Stephanie Roth, and Fundraising in Times of Crisis (2004). |

As GuideStar’s president and CEO, Bob is responsible for the strategic execution of the GuideStar mission, fundraising to support this mission, and is the liaison with GuideStar’s board of directors. Bob has 25 years of management experience in public broadcasting and high-tech companies, including 9 years as chief operating officer of the Public Broadcasting Service. He currently serves on the board of Vision TV, Grameen Foundation USA, AAFRC Trust for Philanthropy, and the e-Philanthropy Foundation. Bob holds a master’s degree in planning from Rutgers University. |

According to a major publication, “Marc H. Morial, a lawyer by profession, is leading the National Urban League into a new era with street smarts and boardroom savvy.” Morial was selected in May of 2003 as the 8th President and CEO of the nation’s largest and oldest civil rights and direct services organization empowering African Americans and other ethnic communities. Prior to joining National Urban League, Morial served two distinguished four-year terms (1994-2002) as Mayor of New Orleans. Before becoming mayor, Morial served as a Louisiana State Senator for two years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center and honorary doctorate degrees from Xavier University and the University of South Carolina Upstate. |
