The Alliance for Nonprofit Management offers specific awards for excellence in "best practices" in capacity building and nonprofit management throughout the nonprofit sector. These awards confer special recognitions on members, corporations, and constituent organizations that have distinguished themselves in the nonprofit sector, the community, the capacity-building profession and the Alliance.

Thomas Raffa About the Award: The Founders Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual or organization for lifetime achievement that has consistently made exceptional contributions, of at least 25 years, to the nonprofit sector— understanding capacity building and the acceptance, adoption, innovation or improvement of "best practices." |

Deborah Strauss About the Award: The Capacity Builder of the Year Award honors an individual, nonprofit organization, foundation or grantmaker who has significantly supported the Alliance’s mission – "To increase the effectiveness of individuals and organizations that help nonprofits build their power and impact," and is presented to an individual in recognition of meritorious service or accomplishment in the field of capacity building. The recipient of this award has demonstrated excellence in "best practices" as a practitioner and has made significant progress and effectiveness within the field of capacity building. |
