Best Practices Awards Process

ALLIANCE BEST PRACTICES AWARDS PROCESS

Submit a Nomination

Deadline:
April 30, 2008

The following provides more details on the eligibility, nomination and selection processes for the Alliance Best Practices Awards.

Eligibility

      1. Nominations must be provided using the official on-line nomination form.
      2. Nomination forms or background materials will not be returned.
      3. Individuals and groups may be nominated in multiple categories and for multiple awards, if they meet the criteria for that category and award.
      4. A separate nomination form must be used for each award category (i.e. a person nominated for two awards must have two nomination forms completed in their entirety).
      5. Nominations must be made by current members or staff of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management.
      6. Nominations must be received by the deadline date.  No exceptions.
      7. Self-nominations are encouraged.
      8. In selected categories, awardees do not have to be Alliance members, although we encourage that they be.

Awards Selection Process

The Awards Selection Committee will serve as the nomination review and selection committee for all awards. Certain other award selections will be made by other groups, for the year 2008 or permanently. The individuals on this committee should represent a cross section of the Alliance membership and will need to commit to a significant effort during the first two weeks of June to accomplish their task.

Awards Presentation Process

The Alliance for Nonprofit Management’s Best Practice Awards will be presented at the Annual Conference in July during the Awards luncheon.  In addition to announcing the winners, recognition should also be given to all nominees by acknowledging/announcing the nominees for each award.

The Alliance staff will plan and manage all logistics of the awards program to include selection of key note speakers, Master/Mistress of Ceremonies, award designs, etc.
